Dysmenorrhea

I suffer frequent bouts of dysmenorrhea since my first cycle started as a young girl reaching puberty and someone told me the problem would disappear when I get married.  The idea of pain-free that-time-of-the-month cycle was something that I looked forward to when I was growing up.

I had numerous incidents of allergic reactions due to incompetent doctors who kept giving me different types of painkillers when I was in pain during those growing up years of which I am still allergic to now. I already experienced a few years of marriage but am still suffering from on-off dysmenorrhea.  Such a lie!

And to those incompetent doctors, I am allergic to Paracetamol which you should have detected much earlier if you've learned your pharmacology well during medical schools instead of putting me through hell by testing different painkillers like Ibuprofen, Diclofenac,  Aspirin, Ponstan etc on me.

Anyway, some also said that the pain will go away once I've experience childbirth. Well, another lie. Like me. I have friends who already have kids but still experience dysmenorrhea episodes. I have now accepted the fact that it is something that I have to go through till menupouse.

When it gets really unbearable, I just need to curl-up in bed for hours with a few doses of DF118 and  half a tub of vicks vapour rub…

Only in HIM we believe

I am an engineer and I practice scientific principles where logic and evidence-based practice would win hands down. It’s not a surprise that I am a bit of a sceptic when it comes to encounter with ghost but I do believe that there are other forms of beings living in this world besides us human.

Two weeks before break from work I experienced series of unfortunate events.  At first, we thought they were just that simply unfortunate events. But on the second day of our holidays while he was behind the wheel heading for la Xara, something unexplained happened. I was suddenly sweating, my eyes turned bloodshot, breathed sounded like a bear and spoke incoherently. Mom said that I was possessed by some evil sea spirit. That was when I was forced to fly home.

I have of course encountered some forms of those beings when I was studying in the boarding school. I was an early bird and particularly love to do my washing at 4 -5am in the morning after a good night sleep so I didn't have to queue to use the washing machine and I got to choose the best spot for drying up my clothes.

The chances of bumping into those other-than-human beings were pretty high at those early hours in the morning. Those that I can still remember were: a scary-faced old lady standing by the water cooler when I was staying at Block A and a smiling kakak 'senior' sleeping on the bed next to mine although the real person was actually out of the school that weekend.

I never really give it much thought, afteral the only ghost killing human that we have seen or heard are only in movies.

…..there are more weird and unexplained things happened, affecting me physically and emotionally after the la Xara incident .  Alhamdulillah, we managed to get help from an in ustaz in KT and the 'disturbance' was removed.

It was the fourth time his parents ask my hand for their son but it is someone else that I see walking beside me…

Only in Him we believe and to fear other beings is simply... wrong.

Lotus ...

A stranger I met two years ago on a plane told me, “You are like the lotus flower which grows in the muddy water but you will not be “impure or polluted” by the mud ” .
I hope and pray what he said is true.
Ya Allah'''', please give me the strength to go through this hurdles, keep me focused and not stray from my initial goal.
I have people coming to me and said I have lots of money to be traveling all the time. But we are all different in our own ways and priorities... *wink*wink .. But traveling is my choice ….

Get back to work!

I am having a tough time lately and I know it is indeed a challenge that comes and goes. When it goes, I usually turn to be a new ME, heartless, meaner in certain ways.  Wiser and being more careful in lots of ways.

Some peeps said …..’If you follow the crowd, you will go no further than the crowd. But if you walk alone, and find your own way, you will likely find yourself in places no one has ever been before.’
I love this. Yup!

And the brain will switch to the negative mode eliminating more of the positive attitude if we not in control.  Great things do happen by staying positive. It is like a miracle. Allah has His way of doing things.

As usual, my good friends never fail to cheer me up
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Love u guys!

Ok…got to get back to work.

More chocolate please...

Steve Jobs says……' Your work is going to fill up a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.'
Am I doing what I truly love?
Or am I loving what I’m doing?
Unfortunately, I’m in love with someone who does not love me as much as I love him :-(
Only the love for chocolate cures all the heartache….
Thank you...

Sayang......could you afford me

Hazra email me this list of what one’s hantaran kahwin (gift in term of cash money from the groom to the bride) should be as a function of one’s educational qualification.  I am unsure as to where the actual list originated from. When ask, Hazrah  told me someone email it to her. I doubt it is scientifically valid, but it provides an interesting set of numbers for you guys to ponder.....
Anyway, to reproduce said list:
Nilai Hantaran Kahwin Mengikut Harga Purata Pasaran Terkini dan Status Pelajaran Seluruh Semenanjung.
UPSR, PMR/SRP : RM1000-RM3000
SPM : RM3000-RM8000
STPM/DIPLOMA : RM8000-RM12000
DEGREE : RM12000-RM15000
2ND DEGREE/MASTER : RM15000-RM20000
PHD : RM20000-RM30000
This clearly puts a firmer claim on the excuse, “you can’t afford me”.
**I want to do my Master then continue with the PhD  :)

Macam bertih jagung

I have a little notebook I usually write them in and come back to them in a day or two. But sometimes when I get really interesting ideas and they start jumping about inside my head (macam bertih jagung) and I can’t quite get them to stop. And when this happens it gets quite hard for me to focus on doing anything else. They are jumping now...

No matter what....work comes first .
