Sayang......could you afford me

Hazra email me this list of what one’s hantaran kahwin (gift in term of cash money from the groom to the bride) should be as a function of one’s educational qualification.  I am unsure as to where the actual list originated from. When ask, Hazrah  told me someone email it to her. I doubt it is scientifically valid, but it provides an interesting set of numbers for you guys to ponder.....

Anyway, to reproduce said list:

Nilai Hantaran Kahwin Mengikut Harga Purata Pasaran Terkini dan Status Pelajaran Seluruh Semenanjung.

UPSR, PMR/SRP : RM1000-RM3000

SPM : RM3000-RM8000

STPM/DIPLOMA : RM8000-RM12000

DEGREE : RM12000-RM15000

2ND DEGREE/MASTER : RM15000-RM20000

PHD : RM20000-RM30000

This clearly puts a firmer claim on the excuse, “you can’t afford me”.
**I want to do my Master then continue with the PhD  :)
